Can we all agree that this may be the longest heatwave SK has seen? We are in atleast week three and the humidity is the real deal. Hair is just getting bigger and bigger and bigger.. so why fight it!? Embrace it, skip the blow dryer and grab some styling tips below.
Skip the Heat!
It might be tempting to try and smooth that hair out when you're standing in your air conditioned bathroom but don't expect it to last to long if you are going outside at all. A professional blowout will help but we suggest you skip the heat and embrace that natural texture in the summertime!
Our favorite go to product right now is the R&Co Cool Wind Air Dry Creme. Perfect for curls, waves and texture but works well on any hair type. This lightweight cream formula moisturizes the hair and helps control frizz so that natural texture shines through without you feeling undone.
Just apply to damp hair, scrunch through and go! It's seriously so easy it will fit perfectly into your summer schedule.
Add Accessories
Summer + Humid Hot Days? Honestly there is no better time to try out some accessories or hats! We've got a few little gems in store, scrunchies galore and super cute headbands to complete any outfit. Pop by our Regina 13th Ave location during open hours or message us through our Socials so we can help you shop and make recommendations.
Need a cute hat? Our friends down the street at Uforia Muse always have the cutest on trend hats. Check them out post hair appointment.
Pull Your Hair Back
Can't take the heat? We get it and sometimes it's best to just pull things back. Let your hair airdry with R&Co Cool Wind Air Dry Creme and then using a soft bristle brush gently brush your hair back into a high or low ponytail, top knot or braid. If you still have hairline baby frizzies ( yes, that's the technical term ;) ) we recommend using the R&Co Dart Pomade. You can either take the frizzies right back or accentuate them on your forehead! If even the Dart won't work complete your look with a cute headband scarf.
Above all Beauties... Embrace this heat as it just won't last. Give your hair a chance to do it's thing.. maybe you'll discover some texture you never realized you have and bonus.. you'll give your hair a break from the hot tools. Win Win!
